Possessing
the uniquely-shaped face of his larger cousin, the Miniature Bull Terrier is strong and agile, and stands up to
14 inches at the shoulder. His overall shape appears square. His coat is
short, smooth and may be any
colour including pure white.
The Miniature Bull Terrier is an outgoing animal with a fearless,
courageous, and determined
personality. Since he has a dominant nature, he may not be the dog for
the inexperienced dog owner, and he may not get along with other pets. He
develops a very strong bond with his family and displays strong protective
and possessive behaviours. As a consequence, he is often
used as an effective watch and guard dog.
As with most terriers,
he will not back down from a confrontation regardless of the size of the
other dog. He has a high pain tolerance
and is a tenacious fighter, and so must be placed in early training.
Patience is the key to training as this dog possesses an independent, willful,
and stubborn nature! The Miniature Bull Terrier requires exercise as he is exuberant
and energetic who may become destructive if bored or cooped up. Because of his personality, he should always be leashed
when in public. He does best with a fenced backyard and plenty of
opportunity to be active.
