Purina has inducted a heroic Australian Shepherd
into its Animal Hall of Fame.
Here is his story:

Murph
1984

 

 Kenora, Ontario      Murph, a Blue Merle Australian Shepherd, saved the lives of all the occupants in an apartment building after alerting her owners to a fire. When a malfunctioning furnace caught fire, Murph woke her owners, Brad and Carol Diehl, who evacuated the apartment building that later burned to the ground.
