Mount Forrest, Ontario      Jellie Jill, adopted by a partially blind woman with physical disabilities, soon showed her special abilities. She can predict her owner's migraine headaches and pulls her pant leg until she lies down. Then she lies with her until the migraine has passed. She also has alerted her owner to the presence of moving vehicles by pulling on the leash and barking to prevent her owner, Caroline, from walking in front of them.

But one day, she literally saved Caroline's life. Caroline had turned on the oven and then fallen asleep. She was awoken some time later by Jellie Jill nipping at her face, barking, and jumping around on her bed. Caroline was surprised. Her bed is raised to accommodate her disabilities and Jellie Jill had never been able to jump up on it before. She suddenly heard popping sounds from the kitchen and found an electrical fire had set an entire wall aflame.
